Online Policy and Support

Please note: Support for online distant-learning CE classes is provided within the online university only. Please visit the online university for more information.

All course offerings are approved for clock-hours by the governing jurisdiction. The contact information for that state licensing department is found at the bottom of the state page provided within the online university.

American Institute of Professional Standards and Practices “AIPSP” affirms that it is an equal educations opportunity school and will not base course fees, entrance standards or standards for successdul completion of a course on a student’s age, race, color, sex, religion, national origin, familial status, or handicap.

Prospective and enrolled students will be provided with the following class information: course title, education objectives of the course, type of instruction, classroom technologies, the number of qualifying continuing education hours and category, fees for the course if applicable, course/class policies and the contact information of the school providing the certificate of completion.

Online Refund Policy: Any student will be given a refund of tuition paid (minus a 5% restocking fee) if, within 10 days of receipt of the course, the student decides not to begin the course(s). Refunded requests after 10 days are subject to AIPSP approval and shall be subject to a 25% restocking fee. The material must be returned unopened or in ‘like new’ condition to AIPSP. A refund will be issued upon receipt of properly returned materials. No refunds willbe issued after 30 days.

Equipment / Supplies: All course materials are provided as part of the tuition unless specified in the course description. Some classes require the use of a hand-held calculator which students must provide. A bookstore is available on the website for supplemental materials.

Online-classroom Attendance: Courses offered by AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS AND PRACTICES are available in both live classroom and online (distant learning) formats. Online courses are provided in distant learning format and classroom attendance is not required. Students have 12 months from the date of registration to complete the program. Updates and changes to the course will be provided to the student during this time.

Certificates of Completion: Students must, without exception, complete all requirements of the course work and the school must receive that information along with the required forms (Statement of Compliance and Evaluation) prior to the student receiving a certificate of completion for the course.

Continuing Education Reporting: AIPSP shall not be responsible for notifying any jurisdiction of the students completion of any course. Student shall be responsible for notifying the appropriate jurisdiction of the student’s continuing education fulfillment as required by the governing jurisdiction.

School Records: AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS AND PRACTICES shall maintain for a minimum of five years each student’s record containing the following information: the student’s name, address, course date, qualifying continuing education credit hours and category, examination results when applicable. Student records are available to students and governing jurisdictions upon request.

Please remember, we do not teach classes at the Administrative Office location, refer to the class information for location.
